Fassi dealer @imerchile_sa and its customer Gruacor (a company with 30 years’ experience in plant hire for the construction, electricity and mining sectors) have revolutionised the crane market in Chile by introducing the F1450 and F1750 models from Fassi’s TECHNO range. With this range, Fassi optimises the ratio between crane weight and lifting capacity, allowing lighter cranes to lift greater loads.

The F1750 is the truck-mounted crane with the highest lifting capacity in Chile, capable of lifting 30 tonnes at four metres. Gruacor is currently the only customer to own this model, which has been an indispensable aid, particularly during mining operations due to its versatility and low operating costs.

Technological trends point to cranes with greater lifting capacity and superior performance. But this is not the last challenge Imer Chile wants to face. We recently had the pleasure of meeting a group of technicians and sales managers from DAF Veicoli Industriali S.p.A. at the headquarters of Fassi Gru S.p.A. in Albino. This was an opportunity to get to know the structure of the Fassi Innovation Centre and show some of Fassi's modern production areas located in Val Seriana (Bergamo). The extensive sharing of experiences and points of view focused on different aspects of the market, making possible an interesting exchange of ideas aimed at establishing a fruitful and cordial collaborative understanding.

"It is a matter of great pride for us to be able to announce that in January this year Fassi Asia Pacific SDN. BHD. obtained the prestigious licence for the construction of truck-mounted cranes from the Malaysian Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)." This was how Michele Dossi, CEO of Fassi Asia Pacific, began during the official ceremony that marked the awarding of this important recognition to Fassi. "Since we started our operations in Malaysia in 2013, we have dedicated ourselves to leading this industry of manufacturing articulated hydraulic cranes without ever neglecting the safety and well-being of people in the workplace." Michele Dossi points out that "being the first truck-mounted crane manufacturer in Malaysia to receive DOSH certification is a truly significant achievement. This recognition will allow us to offer our cranes directly to potential users in the domestic market." "Not only is this testament to our ongoing commitment to the highest standards of quality and safety, but it also reinforces FASSI's position as an international brand of recognised value, able to meet the stringent requirements necessary for local production in Malaysia," concluded the CEO of Fassi Asia Pacific.
 
International certifications are essential for equipment that operates under pressure. In Europe, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) certification is compulsory for all equipment with operating pressure above 0.5 bar, while in Malaysia DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) certification is required for pressures greater than or equal to 3000 pounds per inch.
 
Looking to the future, Fassi Asia Pacific is keen to continue its path of excellence and innovation in the production of truck-mounted cranes, always keeping the safety and wellbeing of people in the workplace as its primary focus.
